The district is in a suburban setting with the Board of Education, Bloomfield High School, The Donald F. Harris Agri-Science Center, The Big Picture High School, Carmen Arace Middle School, Carmen Arace Intermediate School and the three elementary schools, Laurel, Metacomet, and J.P. Vincent schools all located within five miles of one another.
