6113     ALGEBRA I                                                         Level - Standard        Grades 9 - 12                                                                                       Meets - All Year         1 Credit                          6112      ALGEBRA I                                                        Level - Academic   Grades 9 - 12                                                                                 Meets - All Year          1 Credit Prerequisite:  Pre-Algebra   Algebra I includes solving and graphing linear equations, solving systems of equations and understand their applications, applying formulas to real world applications, determining the algebraic formula for linear sets of data, understanding and using technology as it applies to real world problem solving.  These concepts are supported by previous knowledge of real numbers, operations of real numbers, factoring, and evaluating and simplifying arithmetic and algebraic expressions.  A graphing calculator is required for this course.
