6303     ALGEBRA II                                                      Level - Standard       Grades 11 - 12                                                                                     Meets - All Year        1 Credit   6302     ALGEBRA II                                                      Level - Academic      Grades 11-12                                                                                     Meets - All Year        1 Credit             6301     ALGEBRA II                                                      Level - Honors          Grades 9-10                                                                                     Meets - All Year        1 Credit   Prerequisite: Geometry   Algebra II briefly reviews the principles taught in Algebra I and further develops these ideas with more advanced topics.  Concepts include solving and graphing: equations and inequalities, system of equations and inequalities, polynomials, quadratic equations and some higher degree equations.  A study is made of functions (linear, quadratic, absolute value, exponential, logarithmic, and power), and the operation of functions and their composition. Topics also include complex numbers and determinants.  Problem solving and practical applications are emphasized.  Conics and matrices are also included at Level 1.  A graphing calculator is required for this course.
