We strive to use Discipline-Based Art Education, with a focus on modern art and contemporary themes as a basis for our curriculum.It is our belief that if students choose relevant subject matter, they will be more interested and invested in the final product.The elements of art and principles of design are emphasized and embedded into each lesson.In this way, the visual art curriculum meets and exceeds the expectations of the National Standards for Art Education as well as the ConnecticutState Standards.
