Student Art Gallery

Congratulations to Julian Jackson and Donald Morris for the Connecticut Association of Schools Outstanding Arts Award.

The Connecticut High School Art Awards annually honor two outstanding seniors from each of the CAS member schools who excel in the performing or visual arts. They must possess the qualities of scholarship and leadership. Excelling in the performing or visual arts is of primary importance in the selection.

Welcome to the Bloomfield High School student art gallery. We are very excited to be able to exhibit the students’ art work in this way!  The dedication, skill, and enthusiasm of our art students shows in the very fine work presented here.

We strive to use Discipline-Based Art Education, with a focus on modern art and contemporary themes as a basis for our curriculum.  It is our belief that if students choose relevant subject matter, they will be more interested and invested in the final product.  The elements of art and principles of design are emphasized and embedded into each lesson.  In this way, the visual art curriculum meets and exceeds the expectations of the National Standards for Art Education as well as the Connecticut State Standards.  We are happy that you chose to visit our gallery and hope you will return often to view new additions!
