2013-2014 CAIS School Accountability Plan (SAP) Targets

 

 

Priority 1: Holistic Accountability

 

School Goal: School and Instructional Data Teams

 

•   100% of the CAIS teachers will participate on at least one data team.

 

•   100% of the CAIS data teams will use and adhere to norms and processes as measured by the Bloomfield Public Schools Standards for School and Instructional Data Teams Rubric Standards for School and Instructional Data Teams include:

•   Membership

•   Structure

•   Process

•   Documenting the Adult Practice Issue

•   The Instructional Plan

 

Priority 2: Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment 

 

School Goal 1: Reading

 

  • The percentage of 5th grade students scoring At or Above Goal in Reading will increase from 57% to 67% by the end of the 2013-2014 school year as measured by the CMT administered in March, 2014.
  • The percentage of 5th grade students scoring At or Above Proficient in Reading will increase from 76.3% to 82.3% by the end of the 2013-2014 school year as measured by the CMT administered in March, 2014.
  • The percentage of 6th grade students scoring At or Above Goal in Reading will increase from 70.6% to 76.6% by the end of the 2013-2014 school year as measured by the CMT administered in March, 2014.
  • The percentage of 6th grade students scoring At or Above Proficient in Reading will increase from 78.8% to 84.8 % by the end of the 2013-2014 school year as measured by the CMT administered in March, 2014.

 

School Goal 2: Math

 

  • The percentage of 5th grade students scoring At or Above Goal in Math will increase from 56.9% to 66.9% by the end of the 2013-2014 school year as measured by the CMT administered in March, 2014.

 

  • The percentage of 5th grade students scoring At or Above Proficient in Math will increase from 79.3% to 85.3% by the end of the 2013-2014 school year as measured by the CMT administered in March, 2014.

 

  • The percentage of 6th grade students scoring At or Above Goal in Math will increase from 63.5% to 73.5 % by the end of the 2013-2014 school year as measured by the CMT administered in March, 2014.

 

  • The percentage of 6th grade students scoring At or Above Proficient in Math will increase from 92.2% to 98.2% by the end of the 2013-2014 school year as measured by the CMT administered in March, 2014.

 

 

Priority 3: Positive School Climate

 

School Goal: 

 

  • Parent participation in the climate survey will increase from 79.3% to 89.3%
  • Staff participation in the climate survey will remain above 95%.
  • Student participation (grades 5 & 6) will increase from 91.7% to 95%.
    • Reduce the number of students, families and staff members who believe Mean spirited behavior is a problem at this school” by at least 10%. (Staff: 71%--61%     Families: 69%-59%      Students: 55%-45%)
    • Increase the number of students, families and staff members who feel that Students treat each other with respect” by at least 10%. (Students: 60% --70%    Staff: 73%--83%    Families 77%--87%)

 

 

Priority 4:  Parent and Community Engagement

 

School Goal: To ensure effective involvement of parents and support a partnership with the community, CAIS  will implement a “Welcoming Schools “ Plan, a School, Family, Community Action Team Plan, and a School-Parent Compact during the 2013-2014 school year as measured by completed school plans and parent participation data for school year 2013-2014.

 

 

 

  • At least 80 %  of our students, families and staff members will respond favorably to the “Welcoming Schools” questions on the District Climate Survey

 

  • At least 95% of our families will participate in our parent-teacher conferences, twice throughout the school year.

 

  • 100% of our students will take part in a Good Humans Service Learning Project that will benefit the town and community

 

  • CAIS will increase the parental attendance at our Academic Family Fun Night by at least 10% from last year’s data.

 

  • CAIS will add at least one additional family academic evening to its school calendar.
